#Blessed

Don't know if anyone noticed, but I was really feeling my outfit for church yesterday. Not only was I wearing a top by one of my favorite designers, I was wearing a designer top I didn't have to pay for !!! *insert praise emoji* This pink beauty is one of the two DVF tops that my favorite godmother gave me during my last trip to New York. One of the many many many reasons why she is the Best Godmother Ever ( Don't put up a fight y'all, she really is the best). I like it a lot because of the material and the kimono style design of the sleeves. The navy skirt was also an item I didn't pay for. My Abuela got it on one of her routine thrift store runs. And it was braaaaannd neewww!!! Love her to bits. I am very thankful for the family God put me in. Couldn't have chosen better. However, it is not because of the things they sometimes get me. Don't let me fool you, I like things, trust me. But, it's not the tangible things that score the most points with me. I am thankful for the love behind those things. The intangible is too often taken for granted by my generation, and I can not fall into that trap.
Amazing how things as simple as clothes can remind us of how good God's been.
What else makes you feel blessed?
Feel free to comment.
Have a blessed week.

Happy Easter Lovelies!

Ok so first let me apologize for this suuuuuper late post, but I've been really sick this past week and have been in some major hibernation. So, now that I've finally come out of the cave that is my bedroom, I had to do a post for Resurrection Sunday.
Let's get the Outfit of the Day out of the way: I think this Easter was the least stressful I've ever had when it came to wardrobe. The only new thing that was bought was this beautiful teal-green dress from H&M. I saw it at the store on Lincoln Road and loved the fit and color. It also came in black, which is my go-to color for everything, but here's to springtime and bright colors. I styled the simplicity of the dress with some cheetah print for extra fun.
The shades are from zeroUV
Bag: Steve Madden (brand new with tags from Plato's)
Shoes: Jessica Simpson

Although it has been commercialized by the world like so many other holidays , it is important to remember the true meaning behind why we celebrate this day every year. For me, Easter is a reminder of God's perfect gift of love to me. Jesus gave his life for me before I even made the decision to love him back. It amazes me that an almighty God would think to give his life for us. Humans. People who constantly make mistakes, recklessly live in sin, and are always pushing God away. His unconditional love is there for us no matter what, whether we choose to live for him or not, whether or not we answer his call, whether or not we follow his word, and whether or not we listen to his voice. His love never fails; and, the cross is a beautiful reminder.
And he is risen! Alive and living in and through me every day. Because of him, I can live freely. Because of him, I have joy. Because of Jesus Christ, I am complete.

"They hung Him high,
they strecthed Him wide.
He hung His head, and then He died;
that's love, that's love.

That's not how the story ends,
three days later He rose again;
that's love, that's love."
- No Greater Love

Pray for my immune system guys,
Till next time,

SPRING BREAK 2K15

Even though we did not travel out of town, I had an amazing break this year.  It was sort of like a Miami staycation I guess, minus the hotel. The fun all started on Tuesday when I went to go see Wicked, the greatest Broadway musical of all time!! The show lived up to and beyond all my expectations. We had great seats. And, obviously, I sang along with Elphaba and Glinda. XD

I was literally fan-girling for the rest of the week. We saw the show at the Adrienne Arsht Center in downtown Miami, and stopped by my fav, the Wynwood Kitchen and Bar, for a bite before it started.

Awesome Empanadas !
Yummy Bread Pudding ;)
Wednesday, we headed down to Coral Gables, my old stomping grounds. Took a stroll, went to the bookstore, got some gelato. Of course, we hit up Miracle Mile and drove through the neighborhoods to look at the houses. Old money sure is pretty.

Thursday was super fun and new experience. We went to the Miami Open, one of the world's largest international tennis events. It was really cool and just the place for a sophisticated soul like myself. Everyone there was so nice, and so rich lol ! I don't even have to ask how much one girl's Chanel espadrilles cost, honey I know. I even met a lady who came here from Switzerland. The venue was beautiful, and there was so much to do. And praise the Lord because there was a Starbucks tent!! Definitely planning on going back next year if I'm home for the break.

My Lunch
Friday, it was South Beach time! And, by South Beach, I am referring to Lincoln Road. Obviously, I wanted to go shopping, but the real reason was to go to Ladurée Paris. It is a macaron shop I first went to on Madison Avenue in New York. The macarons there were amazing to say the least, so when I found out they had a location in Miami, I flipped. I had literally been craving their macarons since I left the airport that summer.

But before, I could enjoy all of the fun, I had to go to Broward College in the morning to take my PERT test so that I could get Dual Enrollment classes for next year. As I was waiting for my ride, there was this super gorgeous tree with yellow flower petals all over the place. I couldn't resist the urge to take a picture.

I almost forgot one of the most exciting things of the day! So, every time we drive down to Miami, something we do often. I always saw this place on the highway called "South Beach Classics". I just thought it was a dealer for vintage cars, but low and behold, though they do have the beauties for sale, it is also a showcase completely open to the public. They have over 300 cars! And they also host parties and events. How cool! If you know me personally, you know how obsessed I am with vintage cars, so just try to imagine my level of excitement walking through this place.

My future car. XD
It was on sale for $76,500 How lovely.
